Terms of Use

Bedtime Stories for Kids Kiddo

Effective date: October 1, 2026
Last updated: October 1, 2026

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and Nisha Patel (“we”, “us” or “our”), the developer of the iOS application Bedtime Stories for Kids Kiddo (the “App” or “Kiddo”), including its widgets, content and related services. Please read them carefully.

By downloading, installing or using the App, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App. If you are a parent or guardian allowing a child to use the App, you accept these Terms on the child's behalf and are responsible for the child's use of the App.

1. Eligibility and Parental Supervision

Kiddo is intended for children to use under the supervision of a parent or legal guardian. Purchases, subscriptions, sharing, external links, feedback, content reports and support contact must be performed by an adult and are protected by a parental gate. Parents are responsible for supervising their child's screen time and use of the App, and for any purchases made through their Apple ID.

2. License to Use the App

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download and use the App on Apple devices that you own or control, for personal, non-commercial purposes, as permitted by the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions (the “Usage Rules”).

You may not:

  • copy, modify, distribute, sell, rent, lease or sublicense the App or its content;
  • download, record, screen-capture or redistribute stories, audio, videos or worksheets except through features the App provides (for example, saving Shorts to Photos or printing worksheets for personal use);
  • reverse-engineer, decompile or attempt to extract the source code of the App, except where permitted by law;
  • bypass or interfere with subscriptions, coin balances, parental gates, security or content-protection features;
  • use the App for any unlawful purpose.

3. Our Content and Intellectual Property

The App and all its content, including stories, illustrations, audio narrations, music, videos, Shorts, worksheets, quizzes, puzzles, StoryBook templates, characters, logos and software, are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark and other intellectual property laws. Except for the limited license above, no rights are granted to you. “Kiddo” and related names and logos are our trademarks.

Content is provided for entertainment and early-learning purposes. Available content, languages, features and pricing may change, be added or be removed at any time.

4. Content You Provide

Some features let you provide content, such as a child's photos, name and age for a Personalized StoryBook or quiz certificate, a kid profile, feedback or content reports (“Your Content”).

  • You confirm that you are the child's parent or legal guardian (or have their permission) and that you have the right to provide Your Content.
  • You keep ownership of Your Content. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use Your Content only to provide the requested feature (for example, to generate your StoryBook) and to operate and improve the App, as described in our Privacy Policy.
  • Photos uploaded for a Personalized StoryBook are deleted from our servers after the StoryBook is generated, and in any case within 30 days.
  • Do not upload photos of anyone without permission, or any content that is unlawful, offensive or infringes others' rights. We may refuse or remove such content.
  • If you send us feedback or suggestions, we may use them without any obligation to you.

5. Subscriptions

Kiddo offers optional auto-renewable subscriptions (currently Monthly and Yearly plans) that unlock premium (“Pro”) content and features, and may include bonus coins. The plan name, length, price and included benefits are shown in the App before you purchase.

  • Payment is charged to your Apple ID account when you confirm the purchase.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically for the same period and price unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
  • Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period.
  • You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your device's Settings > [your name] > Subscriptions, or in your App Store account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you keep access until then.
  • If a free trial or introductory offer is offered, any unused portion of it is forfeited when you purchase a subscription, where applicable.
  • Prices may vary by country and may change. If the price of your subscription changes, Apple will notify you in advance as required.
  • Use Restore Purchases in the App to restore an active subscription on a new or reinstalled device signed in with the same Apple ID.

6. Coins and Consumable Purchases

The App uses a virtual currency called “coins”, which can be purchased in packs, received as a bonus with a subscription or earned through the App, and used to unlock items such as Personalized StoryBooks, worksheets and quiz content.

  • Coins are a limited license to use virtual items within the App only. They have no cash value, cannot be exchanged for money or real goods, and cannot be transferred, sold or gifted.
  • Coin packs are consumable purchases. Once coins are spent, they cannot be restored or returned.
  • Coin balances are linked to your App installation and our records for your device. Deleting the App or changing devices may result in loss of coins that cannot be recovered, except where required by law.
  • We may change the cost of items in coins, or the items available, at any time.

7. Payments and Refunds

All purchases are processed by Apple, and Apple's payment terms apply. We do not have access to your payment details and cannot issue refunds directly. To request a refund, please visit reportaproblem.apple.com. Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you may have under applicable consumer protection laws.

8. Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse the App, including by attempting to access our servers or data without authorization, interfering with the App's operation, using automated means to access content, submitting false content reports or using the App in a way that could harm children or other users. If you find content you believe is inappropriate, please use the “Report” option in the App or contact us.

9. Notifications

With your permission, the App may send push notifications and local reminders about stories, new content and offers. You can turn them off at any time in iOS Settings.

10. Third-Party Services

The App relies on third-party services such as Apple (App Store and payments), Google Firebase (analytics) and OneSignal (notifications), and may link to third-party services such as WhatsApp, email or the App Store. Your use of those services is subject to their own terms and privacy policies, and we are not responsible for them.

11. Disclaimers

The App and all content are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

We do not guarantee that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free or always available, that content will be available in every language or region, or that any particular learning outcome will be achieved. Educational content is intended to support, not replace, parental guidance and formal education.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or any loss of data, coins, profits or goodwill, arising from or related to your use of, or inability to use, the App. Our total liability for any claim relating to the App is limited to the amount you paid for the App or in-app purchases in the twelve (12) months before the claim.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.

13. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, losses or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from Your Content, your violation of these Terms or your misuse of the App.

14. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time by deleting it (remember to cancel any subscription through Apple, as deleting the App does not cancel it). We may suspend or end your access to the App, or discontinue the App or any feature, if you violate these Terms or if needed for legal, security or business reasons. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive.

15. Apple App Store Terms

You and we acknowledge that:

  • These Terms are between you and us only, not with Apple Inc. (“Apple”). We, not Apple, are solely responsible for the App and its content.
  • The license granted to you is limited to use on Apple-branded products you own or control, as permitted by the Usage Rules.
  • Apple has no obligation to provide any maintenance or support services for the App.
  • If the App fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any) of the App to you. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation regarding the App.
  • Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims relating to the App, including product liability claims, claims that the App fails to meet legal or regulatory requirements, or claims under consumer protection, privacy or similar laws.
  • In the event of any third-party claim that the App infringes that third party's intellectual property rights, we, not Apple, are solely responsible for the investigation, defense, settlement and discharge of that claim.
  • You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as a “terrorist supporting” country, and that you are not on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
  • Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms, and upon your acceptance, Apple will have the right to enforce these Terms against you as a third-party beneficiary.

Where these Terms do not address something, Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement applies.

16. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Subject to any mandatory consumer protection rights you have in your country of residence, the courts of Gujarat, India will have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from these Terms or the App. Before starting any formal proceeding, please contact us so we can try to resolve the issue informally.

17. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated Terms with a new “Last updated” date and, for significant changes, notify you in the App. Continuing to use the App after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

18. General

If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest will remain in effect. Our failure to enforce any right is not a waiver of that right. You may not transfer your rights under these Terms; we may transfer ours in connection with a business transfer. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and us about the App.
